Activates water absorption. The key to the WHO formula.
Reduces fatigue. Supports 300+ enzymatic reactions.
Helps prevent muscle cramps and supports healthy nerve function.

More real orange. Flavor and color from actual fruit.
Good old plain salt, nothing fancy. You know what this is — it’s salt, after all.

The color comes from actual turmeric, and it is not Yellow 5 at all.
The natural sweetness is derived from real fruit, and it is not stevia whatsoever.
Most competitors skip this. Supports immune function.

How It Works
The World Health Organization's oral rehydration formula has saved over 50 million
lives. It needs three things: sodium, glucose, and water. We adapted it with real fruit
juice and real cane sugar.

Why I Started Hydrant
I picked up every hydration product at Whole Foods, flipped them over, and read the labels. Stevia. Sucralose. "Natural flavors." Maltodextrin. Silicon dioxide. Synthetic dyes. Every single one.
As a biology student at Oxford, I knew the science only needed a few ingredients — the World Health Organization proved this 50 years ago. So why did every product have 15+? The answer was cost.
So I built Hydrant with one rule: every ingredient has to be real, pronounceable, and something I'd want in my own body.

THE PROBLEM
dehydration, the hidden foe
Everyday for both of us was plagued by classic burnout—frequent headaches, lack of focus, and low energy. Without knowing it, dehydration had reared its ugly head and controlled our every move. Gallons of water we chugged at our respective jobs couldn’t save us. We needed a new hero.

FAQ
What's the difference between "real fruit juice powder" and "natural flavors"?
What's the difference between "real fruit juice powder" and "natural flavors"?
"Natural flavors" is an FDA term that covers hundreds of lab-synthesized compounds — some derived from sources that have nothing to do with the fruit on the label. Real fruit juice powder is actual fruit juice, dehydrated into powder. We use real blood orange, lime, and grapefruit juice.
Why does Hydrant have sugar when LMNT has none?
Why does Hydrant have sugar when LMNT has none?
The WHO oral rehydration formula requires glucose to activate the sodium-glucose cotransport mechanism — which pulls water into your bloodstream faster than water alone. Stevia doesn't activate this pathway. Our 4g of real cane sugar is there because the science requires it — it's 73% less than Liquid IV.
Why no stevia?
Why no stevia?
A lot of people can taste stevia's bitter, metallic aftertaste — even Coca-Cola couldn't solve it with Vitamin Water. We use real cane sugar and monk fruit extract instead.
Why no stevia? Is 260mg sodium enough? LMNT has 1,000mg.
Why no stevia? Is 260mg sodium enough? LMNT has 1,000mg.
1,000mg is 43% of your daily sodium limit in a single packet. That's designed for heavy sweaters on keto diets. For daily hydration, 260mg is calibrated to the WHO standard — enough to activate absorption without side effects.

Do the zero-sugar flavors use stevia or sucralose?
Do the zero-sugar flavors use stevia or sucralose?
No. They use monk fruit extract — a natural, zero-calorie sweetener with no bitter aftertaste. We will never use stevia, sucralose, or any artificial sweetener in any Hydrant product.
